Thanks to Shawn Aldrich for hosting a NCAA Tournament  March Madness pool to benefit the youth of Nativity.  All donated monies went to purchasing the following Scorer’s Table for Nativity sporting events and the winner won a NCAA Tournament Basketball made by Wilson!  Thank Shawn for thinking of the Nativity Titans.  The table was delivered this week.  Look for it at the next Weilhammer Hall sporting event.  Go Titans!

2012 FALL CYO SPORTS ALERT:  CYO has recently notified all schools involved in 2012 Fall CYO sports of the following:  During the new fall break weeks of October 6, 2012 through October 21, 2012, CYO WILL schedule games and  WILL NOT suspend or reschedule any regular season games, playoff games or tournament schedules due to schools being on fall break.  Please take this into consideration when making 2012 fall break plans.

A big THANK YOU to Jim Hendrix, Nativity parishioner, parent and coach, for his 60+ hours of volunteering.  Citizen’s Gas has recognized Mr. Hendrix for his hours of service to Nativity with a check for $250.00, donated to Nativity Athletics on his behalf.  Thank You, Jim, for your dedication to the youth of Nativity.

Nativity Titans Track team will host 3 meets this year!  Sunday, April 15th, Sunday, April 22nd and Sunday, April 29th!  CYO has lost some host sites this year, so the meets have increased in size.  We will need help with all three meets, especially for this Sunday, April 15th!  All meets begin at 12 noon, so we need all volunteers to the field by 11:45am for your assignments!  It’s easy work!  Any high schoolers, who may need service hours are welcome!  Go Titans!

Congratulations to Jim Brennan, Nativity Titans 56 Football 2011 Championship Team’s Coach, for being a recipient of the Monsignor Albert Busald CYO Award.  The award specifically recognizes an adult who has given sustained service to the youth of the parish through CYO and youth ministry programs, and has used personal qualities to contribute to the physical, psychological and social development of youth.  A CYO Awards Ceremony has been planned for Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 7pm at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral.  A reception will be held at the Catholic Center following the ceremony.  Congratulations Coach Brennan!
